In the distant future, in a distant corner of Siberia, people live in domed cities called Domepolises. These are the primary human living spaces on Earth, which became uninhabitable years ago from environmental destruction. Now, parts of the Earth are becoming habitable again. Large portions of the Domepolises are breaking off to escape the powers that control the domes and trade. Gainer Sanga, video game champ on his 200th victory, becomes an unwilling helper in his hometown`s Exodus when he is wrongfully arrested by the Siberian Railway. He pilots a giant mecha which he dubs `King Gainer` after his own video game handle. He is challenged to fight other Overmen as Yapan tries to escape across Siberia. - The manga is an adaption of the anime that goes by the same name and which was thought up and directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino. The manga is drawn by one of the series' character designers, Yoshihiro Nakamura, and Tomino is credited as writer. Nakamura is (in my opinion) a rather talented artist, with a good sense for scenery and setting. He has a knack for adapting the great designs originally done by Kenichi Yoshida and manages to bring these characters alive. Taken from Gainer and anidb

From Anime News Network: The story begins in the distant future in the far reaches of the galaxy. The Human Galactic Alliance has been constantly fighting for its survival against a grotesque race of beings called "Hidiaazu." After the war that took place in A.C. 195, each of the protagonists have gone on with their lives, and the gundams put into retirement. As the peace alliance with the colonies push through, a new menace threatens to shatter the peace, and the five gundam pilots are forced into action once again. Blind Target is originally a radio drama that got translated into manga. It is one of the possible events that took place between the series itself and the OVA, Endless Waltz. Other manga titles that also delve into the possible events between the series and the OVA are Battlefield of Pacifists and Ground Zero. All three remain unrelated to one another.

Heero attempts to live a normal life after the war. But his "peaceful" life is disturbed when someone manages to steal Wing ZERO. He rushes to search for it, and is then faced with an unlikely foe. On all accounts, Ground Zero can be considered a doujinshi due to its lack of consistency and subjected humor. However, it tackles deeply into the characters' morale and philosophies regarding war, peace, and of course, the gundams. Like Battlefield of Pacifists and Blind Target, Ground Zero are *possible* events that take place in between the TV series and the OVA, Endless Waltz.

The Empire of Britannia invaded Japan using giant robot weapons called Knightmare Frames. Japan was reduced to Area 11, an imperial colony, and its people referred to as the Elevens. At the time, Lelouch, a young Britannian boy exiled to Japan, vowed to his Japanese friend Suzaku that he would destroy Britannia. Years later, Lelouch is a high school student who regularly skips school to play chess and gamble. When he stumbles on a terrorist group of Elevens who are caught by a Britannian task force after stealing a military secret, Lelouch is unexpectedly reunited with Suzaku, who works as a member of the Britannian military. As the rest of the task force arrives, Suzaku is shot for disobeying orders, while the military secret, a young girl, gives Lelouch the power to make anyone obey any order. Taking command of the terrorists, Lelouch adopts the alias "Zero" and begins his rebellion to crush Britannia once and for all. However, his greatest friend soon becomes one of his most troubling enemies when Suzaku becomes the pilot of Britannia's new test model Knightmare, the Lancelot. Note: Storyline is a bit different than the anime.
